Where have I been? What have I been doing? Maintaining my other blog, over at Discovery Channel's Earth Pub, for one thing. But mostly organizing and overseeing Greenpeace's recent expedition to Greenland and the Fram Strait. That is now over, bare the follow-up, and over the next three weeks my main task must be to finish my polar bear book. November 9 is drop-dead deadline day; November 10 I go to Las Vegas for a week of - well, more blogging, for ESPN. Then I get to kick my heels for a while. At which point - and maybe even before - I promise I'll be here more often.
